How do I change the car on my policy?

Overview

We hope you’re looking forward to driving your new car. It’s essential that you  update your car insurance policy with your new vehicle details so that you remain covered. We’ve made it quick and easy for you to go online and make the necessary changes to your policy yourself – you can do this in just three simple steps. Remember, your insurance may be invalid if you don’t update us.

What you’ll need

 

So that we can accurately work out a price for you, please have the following details ready:

  • The new car registration number
  • The date you bought it. (If you haven’t bought the car yet we’re happy to quote, but you’ll need to own the car before you can add it to your policy)
  • The value of your new car
  • Details of any security features, or a tracking device (if the car has one)
  • Details of any modifications

 

How to make the change

 

Step 1 Log in to your Account using the button below and select your policy

Step 2 Choose ‘Make a change’, then ‘Car details’ and ‘Change your car’

Step 3 Enter all required details

If we're able to quote, and you want to go ahead, you’ll be able to confirm the change and be covered straight away. There may be an additional cost as well as an admin fee to pay.
